ENDORSEMENT LETTER BY: HONORABLE DALE MOSSEY
Dear Editor:
The voters of District One, Wright County, will soon elect a new Commissioner to serve District One. Terry
Strege, an experienced member of the Wright County Sheriffs Department and a longtime resident of
the District, is my candidate.
Here is why.
He's best QUALIFIED. He's served in various positions within the Wright County Sheriffs Department
since 1993. Duties include most of the important subdivisions of the Department, undercover with the
Drug Task Force; a member of the Major Crimes Investigation Unit for seven years; rescue recovery
diver; sniper with the Emergency Response Unit where he was the lead sniper for five years; field
training officer to teach skills to other deputies; court bailiff with the Court Security Unit for many years,
and most recently, as a patrolman in his District.
He knows many people from other departments at the courthouse and in city government and the
community. He will be their partner while also looking out for the fiscal interests of the County.
He's college educated, with a four year degree from Minnesota State University. He was on the dean’s
list and received scholarships while in school.
He is INVOLVED IN HIS COMMUNITY. In addition to being an active member of the City of Buffalo where
he lives with his family, he has been involved in charitable activity, including the Special Olympics Polar
Plunge, the Minnesota Torch Run, Toys for Tots, the Disabled vets hunt in Nye Park , and coaching youth
in hunting, fishing, training and retrieving dogs.
He is ETHICAL AND EXPERIENCED AND A TRUTH-TELLER. He served in my Courtroom during my years as
a judge. He tells the truth on the stand. He sets a prime example for court users with his professionalism
and concern for others. He is diplomatic, Intelligent and takes pride in excelling in whatever he does. He
is very well regarded by others who interact with him.
He will be a voice for FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY. In these inflationary times, he will be a careful guardian of
the taxpayers money. He knows when enforcement’s request for law for Funding are unnecessary and
will be unafraid to "just say no" when necessary. The same goes for the many other requests of county
government.
He SHARES OUR CARES AND CONCERNS A long career in law enforcement puts him in touch with the
citizens on a daily basis and informs him about what the communities issues are. He is an avid hunter
and fisher person and a prize winning retriever dog trainer. These are the accomplishments of a person
with dedication, patience, and skill.
I hope you will join me in supporting Terry Strege for your next Commissioner for District One.
Dale Mossey
ENDORSEMENT LETTER BY: TOM CHERRY
I want to go on record as endorsing Terry Strege for the office of Wright County Commissioner. Terry has worked effectively with the Wright County Sheriff’s Office for 31 years, in several different positions, including being Deputy Sheriff, being part of the Emergency Response team, the Major Crimes unit and the Wright County Drug Task Force.
Aside from his extensive career, Terry gives back to his community, which is really important to me. As an Army veteran and a hunter, I have gotten to know Terry personally, through involvement with the Ney Park disabled veteran’s hunt. In all of my interactions with Terry over the past 9 years, I would have never known his impressive accomplishments. Terry is a humble public servant and the nicest guy you would ever want to meet.
I believe in the role of Wright County Commissioner, Terry would dedicate himself and work hard for the communities and the members of the communities that he would serve. Terry has my full support for his candidacy and I hope he has yours too.
